Hwy 55

How about lunch or dinner at Hwy 55?

The Hwy 55 restaurant in Indian Land has informed us of an awesome opportunity they are extending to our church.  They will make a donation to HGC for simply turning in customer receipts.  Here’s how this works; When you eat at Hwy 55 (any time or any day) save your receipts and turn them in to us by placing them in the offering basket on Sundays or dropping them off at our office during normal business hours.  We will return these receipts to Hwy 55 and they will donate back to us a percentage of the amount on those receipts.  It’s that simple!  This gives Hwy 55 the chance to make a difference in the Kingdom of God and us the chance to support a business that wants to give back to their local church.

Christmas in October

As you know, Operation Christmas Child is very near and dear to Higher Ground Church.  So, starting in July we will begin collecting items for shoe boxes.  Listed below are items for the months of July, August, September, October, November.  Please prayerfully consider participating in this mission!

For the entire month of October we are asking that you donate:  hygiene items (no toothpaste or liquids)

September – small toys, games, cards, soccer balls with pump
August – pens, pencils, sharpeners, notebooks, colored pencils
July – flashlights (with extra batteries), t-shirts, shoes, sunglasses, jewelry, small stuffed animals

All items are to be brought to the church office or can be left in the foyer where a box will be available to put items.

On Saturday, November 11th (Time will be announced at a later date) we will have a Family Fun day of packing these boxes.  The goal is to pack 75 boxes!  This is going to be a great opportunity to have families come together and share in packing these boxes.  This is going to be a fun day for families to come together for a great opportunity to help children.
